Have you ever been to the supremely spectacular Lake Windermere? Isolated by hundreds of hills it’s a lovely place to go I had the best experience of my life. Every day I got up in the morning to find my- self staring at the crystal clear lake. No-where could be preferable to Lakeside, it’s a beautiful place by the country side, in the North West part of England.
The best activity that I got to do there was kayaking because as I went on I could hear the gental water splash against my kayak as I meandered my way through the gargantuan lake it was relaxing. In my group there was 9 people so we played some games like world domination where we had to pick a country to be then we had to tap the other people’s boat on the back 3 times then they would join our country and get the other boats until there was one country that got everyone the they would win after that we pulled over on the shore and had some hot chocolate then we head back to where we came from (the shore) My least favourite activity was climbing and abseiling because I didn’t find it to hard (because I go to cubs so I do it lots and lots)but because of the fact that we had some helpers that made it much more fun and challenging for the ones that find it to easy. One of the people in my class got to confident and went into a bramble bush (don’t get to cocky) The toilets and showers aren’t to welcoming because there full of bugs and creatures such as : spiders , cockroaches , fly’s , beetles , slugs , caterpillars , and moths but if you are scared of any of them don’t worry there’s very little of them but what do you expect a five star hotel toilets and showers with a butler NO!!! You go there to be adventures and brave and to learn lots not to just have fun and learn nothing. My second favourite part there was the mouth-watering full English breakfast that you get every single morning that you wake up or if you didn’t like that why not have some cereal with toast and jam and some coffee or tea and for lunch you get food that is to die for with pudding such as apple pie, chocolate cake or even sponge cake. YMCA a place that you can call home or even a 5 star hotel it’s almost as if they can read your mind because whenever you go there you never ever want to leave no matter what happened there. My trip to lakeside and I’m sure I’m speaking for everyone that has ever and will ever go there it was a place where we done amazing teamwork and listening and it was so amazing I will go there in the future because I loved the support that everyone gave when I got scared of doing the activities but in the end I enjoyed every single activity that I got to do there.
