Day 1 Early morning when the sun rises over the lake, surrounded by forest and mountains (hills) the most spectacular place to see it all. The tents a darkish green with a double layered storm shelter, also with a hard wooden floor about two inches off the ground. AREIL RUNWAY The Ariel runway is a really tall tower with a wire coming down from it. I was in a group of 8 and I was the bouncer who let people through, but when everybody else went to the other end the dreading words were spoken by Allister YOU GO FIRST, my heart fell to my stomach I was horrified ,I went in and clipped myself up, looking up at it ,it was so………. high. I put my foot on the ladder and hoped for the best. I got to the top and looked down, I felt like I was going to fall down. Then Allister strapped me in and sat me down, my legs dangled over the edge, I heard the whistle and everyone cheered he counted down 3…2…1…GO. As he said go I was zooming over Lake Windermere, I waved to my friends. After it was over I was hanging so the rest of my group helped me down. KING SWING The king swing was two trees next to each other with a bungee rope harness that you are strapped into. You are pulled up by your team members on the other side of the rope. Once you are at the highest point Allister tells you to pull the black leaver. Once I pulled the black leaver I swung really high and fast. CANOE COOK-OUT We got into groups of 13 and we had 2 canoes we raced to an island in the middle of Lake Windermere, it took about an hour to get there. Then we got in twos to explore the island. After we finished exploring we played some games with the leader George, we played splat and buzz. Once we had finished playing the games me and my tent girls went to help cook and serve dinner. The food was mac and cheese (I don’t like mac and cheese but I dealt with it because I was so hungry) and then when we finished our dinner we collected all of the bowls and spoons. Once that was done we set off back to south camp. BUSHCRAFT In bush craft you practice lighting fire and you build dens. We made a small den with no roof but we did not need to sleep in it so it was fine. The fire started small but got much bigger as time went on we had 20-25 minutes to build our dens. LAKESIDE ALLTOGETHER Lake side was fun but I had a few ups and downs. My highlight was the Ariel runway because it was high and really fast and fun. My experience was cool and I would go again (for a shorter time) and I will never forget going there, it was BRILLIANT. By Fleur
