The silky-red ladybird, who needed a rest from flying in the evening sky, landed on a feather as soft as a cloud made of cotton-candy. She slowly scuttled along as the strands of the icy-cold feather parted.
As the feather gracefully on the rippling waters edge, the two-spotted ladybird opened her small but delicate wings and flew into the night. The spots of white in the black: lit up the ladybirds branched wings. Flying back to the garden all of the mischievous mini-beasts greeted her.
