Brushing and banging, the lonely pensioner digs through the rusted bronze cans. Wheeling her uncontrollable trolley along the trail of rusty junk she spots a grim grey golf bag. Peering around like a scavenging fox, she found a circle rim with four doves on it; it made her heart thud with happiness.
The old frail woman – who kept searching and searching – found a rusted car that looked like it had been used for centuries until it got dumped in the unforgiving scrapyard. The old woman carefully climbed into the rusted car when all of a sudden she saw a glow: a glow she thought she would never see. It was a diamond ring with a gold rim that was worth millions of pounds.

The Children That Never Came Back.
Lee and Annabelle were best of friends; they were never seen one without each other. Although they were best of friends, they are not alike Lee is cheeky, rude and lazy; on the other hand Annabelle was kind, helpful and hard working. They were in class 6, an ordinary every day class room, when Lee and Annabelle asked to go to the toilet. Really the only reason they went was to have a joke. As soon as they got to the toilets, a loud bang came from the boys. Lee suggested they check it out. Nothing. Only 3 unoccupied toilets. Bang! There it was again. But nothing had happened, nothing had fallen over, nothing had shaken. Shivers started creeping down their spines. Then suddenly CRASH…. they were standing in the forest with no idea how they got there and no control over there bodies. It was only then when they realised what had happened to them... ~~~~~~~~~~ Miss Arthurian’s face was as white as a sheet, her breathing rapid and a look of panic on her face. She was looking for the children; she had to find them or she would be sacked. Five minutes later, she spotted them but then Annabelle and Lee started to slowly, slowly move towards the cornered teacher. There was only one thing the teacher could do: jump over the barbed wire. She did. She was safe for now at least. She had to warn everyone she could. Sadly no one believed her. To this day Lee and Annabelle live in the forest chasing everyone who comes in... Caitlin Have you ever wanted to go camping and feel the real experience? Well lakeside is the place for you. They have lots of fun activities to do on your stay. The instructors are very friendly to your kids and yourself. They also will do lots of fun hikes with you. Well that’s what happened to me on the day I arrived and my legs where aching like mad but I enjoyed it lots. The most amazing activities was the: king swing ,the climbing and abseiling and the runway because you have to work together. On the king swing you have to help by pulling a rope to make them hover. For the climbing and abseiling you have to make sure that the rope is tight for them to climb up. The tents are smaller than they look on the outside but on the inside they are very big because I can fit my whole class inside. You will also do some other fun activities like: bush craft and campfires at night sometimes if your lucky. For climbing and abseiling you will have an instructor with you at all times to make sure that you don’t get hurt and to set it up for you and to tell you all of the rules to keep you safe from falling from up high and killing yourself. 2 days later I’m in a team canoe heading of to a little pebble beach with half of my class in my canoe and the other half in another canoe and my canoe got there first. Once we had got there me and my class explored the little Island to see what we could find and we found some rocks that look like thrones and we sat down and relaxed after a lot of hard work to get there. Just then one of our instructors (Allister ,Ross and gorge) called us to go for a walk to listen to the wonderful sound of nature to see what we could hear. We also tried skimming stones to see who could get the furthest. |
