Disappearance from MrsWills on Vimeo. Disappearance Isabel, a nine year old girl was out walking with her two older brothers (who had been forced into taking her by her mum and dad to take her along) into a crooked pine forest. The brothers had only said that they were going to the park, but had a plan to go to the woods after recent disappearance in the newspaper. Isabel was an annoying little girl, that's what the twins thought, because she was always trying to be as cool as them. In the middle of the forest,a thick layer of fog loomed over the groaning trees in the howling wind. Suddenly the mountain like shape of a shed appeared in the blood shot eye of the twilight sky; the rotten ramshackle shed door read: NO ENTRY,DANGER OF DEATH, with a big black skull. Her lip quivered, one of the brothers muttered "what's that doing their?" The door was locked by several padlocks and a rustic iron chain. The twins smiled at each other and got to work picking the locks; Isabel watched in amazement as the last lock fell to the ground. Suddenly ruby red eyes appeared in a window, a drop of sweat trickled down her smooth fore head even though it was a winters day. "Err...there's something in their. "the adventurer said but the twins ignored her. Isabel was just walking around a corner of the shack when a boney, four fingered hand reached out the shadowy darkness and grabbed hers, she tried to get away but it was as strong a bear, she screamed her brothers sprinted to see if she was alright; she was not there. "We need to go and find help! "exclaimed one of them, they charged off to find someone. 5 minutes later, on the edge of the woods a dog walker with a beautiful Labrador appeared round a corner "hey help us!" They screened "our sister has been captured by something. ""really." She bitterly said in a disbelieving voice "oh alright I'll help as long as it's not to far to go," so they set off back to the shed, hoping there was still time. Half an hour later they arrived at the same old rotten shed "in here the twins whispered ."Inching toward the door a wisp of chilly air stood there hair on end" she's not here!" muttered one of the twins ,there was a strong smell of blood in the air "well so much for helping your sister!" said the woman, stamping off into the blue. Isabel was never seen again, police inquiries found nothing but the twins still believed she was still alive with or without the monster. Have you ever seen the glorious views of the Lake District? Or glanced over Lake Windermere, when it shines with silver? Well I had an excellent time venturing around Cumbria, a small county flooded by miles and miles of vast hills.
YMCA lakeside instructors are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, trust me when you go you will really not want to come home, anytime soon. The calming sights are not hard to find, as all you have to do is take a small stroll through the forest or something as special as climbing one of the many hills. My favourite activity by far had to be the aerial runway. With stress, fear and anxiety I slowly clambered up the surprisingly steady- 10 meter-ladder. Pretending I was only a few steps off the ground, I carried on with my nerve -wracking trek which was soon to be completed (hopefully) I stretched my foot outwards to the platform to find, George wasn’t there waiting for me. Realizing I only had a couple more steps to go, I placed my foot back onto the ladder. I was now at the top of the ten meter tall tower, George clipped me on to the carabiner then he sat me down on the edge of the tower, I was so confident, until I looked down, my heart was pounding, my friends encouraging voices echoed in my ears. I closed my eyes, he blew the whistle whoosh I was flying everyone cheered me on, my anxiety was instantly replaced by relief I didn’t die after all as I reversed I saw all of my friends preparing for my rescue then I touched the ground it was wonderful Another one of my favourite activities was the climbing and abseiling first I did abseiling but some of us didn’t. My abseiling experience was very scary, at first I didn’t want to but my friends ended up convincing me so I ended up doing it anyway. To be honest it bad until I slipped and landed face down on the rock and rolled across it, it was very scary. Also one of my most memorable experiences at lakeside was kayaking. Since I had never kayaked or capsized before I was very hopeful. We had a very amazing instructor (tom)he was very encouraging with us and we played lots of fun games: change, catch the duck and navigation. This year’s lakeside trip I will remember forever and I’m pretty sure everyone else will as well. I enjoyed every activity but the highlight of my trip was definitely the aerial runway. And a big thanks to George, Ros and Al. I had an amazing time and I definitely to visit again. |
