One area which Chestnut Class will be working on all year, is how to understand our brain in order to help us learn. We have already had a week of inspirational maths which looked at how mistakes encourage faster growth and understanding. It also reminded us that a 'Growth Mindset' - that's one which does not say 'I can't do this.' but 'I can't do this yet.' - will be an enormous asset life-long. I am now looking at memory games and have added the link above, plus one directly to the games, on the Literacy page. A number of children need to learn how to learn, improving our memory capacity is one way of doing this.
