On Thursday morning my class and I competed in a tag rugby competition, at Old Buckenham Primary school. Our school was about 15 miles away but we also had to pick up another school taking part in the competition. While on the way I stare out of the steamed window and looked at the colourful splatter of orange leaves, occasionally chatting to my friends. Yet I could never stop thinking ‘were we going to do well?’ When we arrived we did a quick warm up, I almost slipped over during it because the grass was so slippery and wet. Soon enough we were asked to walk over to the grubby playing field. As I stand, ready to battle, I stare brutally into their eyes, sometimes narrowing them. The game suddenly begins and already I’m puffing and out of breath, but I keep on going and going not giving a thought about the time until a whistle is blown. Did we win? Luckily we did but we had no time to celebrate as a few seconds later we were whisked away to another pitch. Our team kept on trying sadly though we won no more, we tried our hardest and even when we were knocked to the cold, dirty ground we always managed to get back up again. Overall we came 6th, which we are all proud of. Finally, the game was over, everything had at last finished. But I was worried what if the rest of our class were disappointed? Luckily I was able to put that thought away and focused on putting on my shoes. While on our coach ride back I was too tired to talk to anyone. I just stared out of the huge bus window watching the cascade of orange and yellow leaves go by. But one things for sure if I was ever offered another chance at tag rugby my answer of course would be yes! By Cicely
